Mumbai (Maharashtra) [India], Jan. 11 (ANI/NewsVoir): Director Karan Johar collaborates with Universal Sportsbiz Pvt. Ltd. (USPL) to be their first major creative advisor.
In a strategic move, USPL has teamed up with Karan Johar to consult with all USPL fashion brands – Wrogn, Imara, Single & Wrogn Active. Karan Johar will work closely with the interior design, marketing and creative team for the brand and will provide direction for upcoming campaigns.
USPL has been revolutionizing the Indian fashion scene since its inception in 2014. Karan Johar will bring new insight and perspective through his unique fashion sensibility. Besides providing creative guidance to the company, he will also provide technical guidance to USPL brands, their merchandise collections, and their digital and editorial spaces as well as some of the company’s branded experiences.
Speaking about the association with the USPL, Karan Johar said, “I am very excited to be a part of the USPL and really look forward to disrupting the market for Indian consumers with new ideas. We can’t wait to expand our footprint among Gen-Z and strengthen our foothold in the Indian youth market.”

With the rapid development of the retail and fashion market and consumer behavior in India, through this association, USPL and Karan Johar come together to stay ahead of the curve and to establish a strong USPL presence in the Indian fashion sector.

USPL brands are sold at more than 550 points of sale with a geographic spread across 144 cities nationwide. The retail brands at Shoppers Stop, Pantaloons & Lifestyle are sold at major retailers along with multi-brand outlet channels and on Myntra and Flipkart and in marketplaces, as well as the brand’s exclusive stores in over 45 cities and their own brand websites wrogen.in, Imara .in and singlelife.in. USPL is looking to expand its channel with high-volume retail, popular MBO stores and exclusive brands to expand the reach of more than 1,000 points of sale of its brand in the next 2-3 years.
