The goal is to teach women entrepreneurs – aspiring or veteran – the skills to design and create businesses that have the potential to be economically viable. Participants will learn how to embrace an entrepreneurial culture, develop ideas through design thinking and startup methodologies, prepare a business model outline, design a presentation, identify funding sources, find the right partners, arrange mentorship, build a team, and create their own business.

Certificate 3: Business Modeling (4 units),
Certificate 4: Business Promotion (4 units),

The WEA certification program will also be launched on SheTrades’ e-learning platform To be supplemented at the national level with field training for women of developing countries interested in entrepreneurship and/or planning to integrate into regional and global value chains. The in-country trainings will provide practical insight and experience for women entrepreneurs and SMEs and will be held virtually in Colombia, Brazil, Mexico and India. The courses will be held in Spanish (Colombia and Mexico), Portuguese (Brazil) and English (India). Sessions will focus on two main themes: “Competitiveness and Export Readiness” (January 19-20) and “Digital Marketing and E-Commerce Workshops” (1-3 February).
The contribution falls within the framework of ITC’s “Women in Trade Program” which directly contributes to ITC Focus Area 5.Promoting and mainstreaming inclusive and green trade” and the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) 5, 8 and 17.
