WPP’s Wavemaker Agency has appointed Sarah Salter to a new role as Global Head of Applied Innovation.
It will be based in London and will be responsible for innovation and technology for global clients.
As part of the Wavemaker Center for Global Consulting, Salter (in the picture) will work with the agency’s global clients and network to “simplify the complex world of innovation, directly applying innovative technology to live projects that solve client growth challenges.”
Salter previously held the position of Head of Innovation at Wavemaker UK where she led relationships with the agency’s key clients on digital transformation and innovation.
She is credited with being the driving force behind campaigns and consumer experiences such as ‘Local Voices’ on Nationwide on Alexa and Google, immersive augmented reality experience comparison in the market, Public Health Breastfeeding Friend on Alexa and Google and the NHS WhatsApp response to Covid-19.
Salter joined Wavemaker in 2017 and previously held brand-side marketing positions at Vrumi, Equinox, Casio and Procter & Gamble.
Wavemaker Select wins Mettle media account
Wavemaker’s specialist division of ‘take-off businesses’, Wavemaker Select, has won the Media Planning Account and the Purchasing Account for the Mettle Small Business Mobile Banking App.
This was followed by a competitive four-way show as Natwest’s backed digital business looks to grow from a startup to an expanding business.
Part of the Wavemaker Select brief is the development of the Mettle campaign (less) Aimed at UK beginners through a multi-channel activation with the creative agency Fold7.
