“We are thrilled to bring Sean and Phil their wealth of experience to our highly qualified leadership team,” said Quadratec CEO Ted Wentz. “We continue to invest heavily in building a first-class management team that will help guide us through the most exciting times in our company’s history.”
With more than 11 years of marketing experience, McComsey’s management style “up, down, and across the enterprise” has played a key role in helping transform Quadratec from a catalog retailer into a leader in Jeep parts and accessories, the company says. His efforts helped increase the company’s social media presence significantly, to more than 450,000 likes on Facebook, 117,000 subscribers on YouTube, and more than 100,000 followers on Instagram.
McComsey was named to the Specialty Equipment Market Association’s “Top 35 Under 35” list earlier this year; A tribute that honors and highlights the rising stars of the automotive aftermarket industry who are 35 years of age or younger.
“Sean has played a key role in building a world-class digital marketing department and team that leverages analytics and technology across all channels, contributing not only to the growth of his department, but to the success and growth of the company,” said Ralph Mondeo, Director of Digital Marketing at Quadratec.
McComsey will lead Quadratec’s digital marketing team and help continue to focus its digital strategy to drive sales, reach new customers, and expand direct customer sales.
Rees has more than 38 years of automotive experience in the areas of product purchasing, sourcing, category management, and private label development – most recently as Head of Private Label for AutoAnything.
He will be responsible for creating and executing a dynamic product category strategy to increase sales and profitability, while helping to coordinate the company’s marketing, pricing and vendor relationships across print and digital marketing platforms and events, Quadratec says.
Reese spent six years as JEGS Private Brand Manager, leading its global sourcing and branding. Prior to joining JEGS, he worked for 19 years in various merchandise and category management roles including as Trade Manager at AutoZone, as well as Product Manager at Advanced Auto Parts.
“We are thrilled to have Phil join the Quadratec family,” said Quadratec President and COO Jon Stewart. “His extensive experience and knowledge in the vehicle purchasing and category management space will help ensure that we continue to provide the best possible product assortment at the most affordable prices to our customers.”
