NEW YORK, Jan 6, 2022 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) — Mobiquity Technologies, Inc. (NASDAQ:MOBQ) (“the Company”), the leading provider of next-generation advertising, today it has appointed Don Walker “Tree” Barrett, third, to the role of Chief Operating Officer and Strategy, effective January 4, 2022.

Mr. Barrett most recently served as Chief Operating Officer of the New York Stock Exchange-listed Inuvo Corporation (“Inuvo”). As Inuvo’s Director of Operations, Mr. Barrett was responsible for global IT operations, sales, product, engineering, marketing, and account services. During Mr. Barrett’s tenure at Inuvo, he led the company’s operations through significant revenue growth ($20 million annually to more than $61 million) and employee development and led several mergers and acquisitions.

Mr. Barrett has over 35 years of experience in data-driven direct marketing and company leadership that has focused on developing, marketing and delivering technology-based business services and solutions, providing outstanding customer service, driving profitable revenue growth and creating a world-class business environment for partners.

About Don Walker Barrett III

Mr. Barrett most recently served as Chief Operating Officer of Inuvo from 2013 to 2021. Mr. Barrett joined Inuvo in February 2010 as Senior Vice President of Corporate Strategy and Business Development, and was promoted to Chief Operating Officer in February 2013. As Chief Operating Officer of Inuvo, he was responsible About global IT operations, sales, product, engineering, marketing, and account services.

Prior to joining Inuvo, Mr. Barrett worked as Director of Interactive Media Products at Acxiom, Inc. , a global leader in marketing and database services that use consumer information and analytics. While at Axiom, Mr. Barrett was tasked with developing and marketing an entirely new range of products and solutions that would enable Axiom customers to leverage consumer data and analytics in the rapidly growing online digital marketing ecosystem.

In 1991, Mr. Barrett established Response Concepts and Analyzes, Inc.. (“RC&A”), a private company that provides direct marketing consulting, creative services, database management, marketing, and implementation services to a wide range of companies throughout the United States. Barrett sold RC&A in 1998. During the mid-1990s, Barrett also purchased, expanded, and sold one of the oldest web-based online contact lens distributors for consumers, QuikLens, Inc.

Mr. Barrett started his career with Direct Media Outdoors, a division of Direct Media, Inc. Headquartered in New York, Direct Media has been one of the largest mailing list management and brokerage firms in the world with many of the largest publishing and catalog companies as clients. During this time, Barrett learned the value of direct-to-consumer marketing and how to apply consumer data and analytics to increase advertising efficiency and performance.

Mr. Barrett is a graduate of the University of Arkansas Fayetteville with a degree in Marketing.
